神奈川県の鎌倉市で「鎌倉まつり」が始まりました。

The "Kamakura Festival" has begun in the city of Kamakura in Kanagawa Prefecture.

13日は、かぶとをかぶって武士の格好をした人など1000人がまちの中を歩きました。

On the 13th, about 1,000 people, including some dressed as samurai wearing helmets, walked through the town.

見ていた人たちは、手を振ったり写真を撮ったりして楽しんでいました。

The people watching enjoyed themselves, waving their hands and taking photos.

お祭りを開いた人は「外国からのお客様にも、歴史がある鎌倉の良さを知ってもらいたいです」と話していました。

An organizer of the festival said, "We want visitors from overseas, too, to learn about the appeal of historic Kamakura."
